I initially loved these pots and pans. They heat up great, are easy to cook with, and are very versatile. However, one of my pans is already peeling on the outside... not happy at all considering what I paid for them and Calphalon's reputation. Will be contacting both Amazon and Calphan about this...

The pans appear sturdy and durable but this was short lived after they were put into service. Within 2 weeks, the large frying pan started warping. Within a month 2 other pans had a similar issue. I reached out to Calphalon customer service and they requested proof of purchase and pictures and I complied. Two emails and a call later and I have yet to hear from them. That was in March 2019 and it's now June. I would not recommend this set or this brand to anyone.

One of the pans started peeling on the outside and I have tried to work with Calphalon on getting another one. I have talked to them and twice submitted their required information (pictures and forms) via email (their request) and twice my email has come back deleted not read! They said on the second time that they would expedite it and handle it directly as this was the second time. Needless to say, this wasn't true as I just received notification that it was deleted and not read just like the first time. This is a lot of money for something that lasted less than one year!

These pots/pans are outstanding quality. Material and construction are top-shelf. I've owned them for the last 6 months. I've always loved to cook and I finally splurged on this 15-piece set as a 25-year anniversary gift. I figured they'd be the last set we ever purchased; and they probably will be. They feel like they'll last forever. They heat evenly, and the nonstick quality is excellent.

However... The design feature to stack the pots inside each other has one drawback. They only stack properly in a specific sequence. In other words, a stack of 5 pots only fits together one way. The 3rd pot in the stack is always the 3rd pot in the stack. That's because of the way shallow pots fit inside deeper pots (but not vice versa). They're tapered, so the bottom is smaller than the top. Additionally, they're not marked - so you have to memorize the sequence, or play a puzzle game when putting away clean pots/pans. With the large 15-piece set, it always seems like I need the pot on the bottom and therefore must remove the whole stack from the cabinet to get the pot I want. Returning the clean pot to the cabinet means the same thing. Remove the whole stack from the cabinet so I can re-insert the bottom pot. Sounds simple enough - except these things are HEAVY. (And the stacks are heavier). My wife and 2 teenage daughters no longer put them away, they leave them on the counter for me to put them away; it is a bit of a chore.

From a cooking standpoint, they are very nice - I really like them. From a convenience standpoint - the stack'ability adds convenience and inconvenience at the same time. They save space, but they add a lot of effort/labor. You could hang them, but that would defeat the purpose of spending the extra money on the stack'ability altogether. I really like them (a lot), but hard to say I love them for these reasons. Excellent product, but not a perfect one unfortunately. Unless you need 9 pots and 6 lids - you might be happier with one of the smaller sets. I cook a lot, and there are at least 3 pots and 3 lids I haven't used yet (except to remove/replace them from my cabinets 100 times).

I have been using these since my kitchen was remodeled in Aug 2019. I went with these for the space saving design but the clincher was they could be put in the dishwasher. The upper edges of the pots and pan immediately started chipping as seen in the second photo. Ok so long as it didn't peel any further right? Wrong. 8 months of light use, (a very careful household of one) and you can see where the outer coating is stripping down to the bottom layer. As they only refund the first 60 days, there wouldn't be enough time for a true test of durability. And 8 months of use is certainly not a significant amount of time for this to be happening. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend based on this alone. Not a cheap investment either!

This is easily the most expensive cookware I've ever purchased (probably by 3x), but I wanted a set that I could use for a decade. So far, these have held up really well. I bought these specifically because they are dishwasher safe, unlike many other nonstick cookware sets on the market. Even though these hold up perfectly in the dishwasher, you can honestly just wipe them clean after they cool down. Heat distribution also appears to be excellent. My only complaints are (in order of frustration): 1) price - they are ridiculously expensive for cookware and for this price I expect perfection; 2) they are heavy - the bigger pieces definitely require two hands; and 3) the first 1/3 of the handles get hot, and you can't ever touch the handles on the covers with short handles after they've been over the pots for more than a few minutes. All things considered, I will keep the set, but you definitely pay the "Made in America" premium on these babies.

**UPDATE** After a couple months of normal use, the finish on the bottom of the pans has started to come off. I contact Calphalon, who readily agreed to ship me a warranty replacement. That was nearly 3 months ago. Now I can't get a hold of them to figure out where my replacement is. Will never purchase this brand again being they do not back up their warranty.

Six months of use and pots are all chipping! Support is horrible and now stuck with pots that could go in the garbage!!!

Such a complete set and exceeded my expectations. The pots, pans and glass tops are constructed of high quality materials and are solid! The weight of each item is significant, but not in a bad way. Really love how they feel in your hand while cooking. Aside from their great appearance and space saving design, they perform very well on my gas range. They conduct heat evenly and this is the best set of cookware I've owned. I previously bought Circulon sets from Costco for $300 every two years. I hope this investment and satisfaction will continue for years...so far I highly recommend these.

5.0 out of 5 stars These are great, well worth the cost

These truly do cut down on the space that pans normally take up. They work wonderfully. I initially received a set with damaged pans, which from the looks of it were from shipping and not defects. They sent a replacement set out immediately and they were in perfect condition. I have already recommended this set to friends and family and don't have any complaints with the quality as all. As I said, they are well worth the price!

1.0 out of 5 stars Ruined in one use

3 pieces of this set were ruined after one use. I followed the car instructions and the coating still came right off. Save your money and buy a different set. To return the pots with the "lifetime warranty" cost $70 out of pocket, and they won't reshoot to Canada so I couldn't even get replacements.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor Customer Service

Reviewed in Canada on November 16, 2020

Three pieces (out of 15) in our order came damaged. Two pots have sizeable chips on the edges while another pot is warped (the lid won't fit and the pot doesn't sit flat on the stove element). We contacted Calphalon Customer Service and received a long list of all the things WE had to do, including sending various pictures from various angles of the damaged pots, which we did as requested. Over two weeks have passed with no response even after two follow-up messages. While the pots that are undamaged are great and we like the set overall, we are very disappointed in the damaged pots and the tone/lack of response from Calphalon Customer Service. Expected more based on the expensive price for this cookware.
